The Role:
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on IT Services Coordinator, based in Hamilton, to provide support for Greenlea’s IT systems across our multiple sites. This role plays a key part in ensuring our staff and production environments remain connected, supported, and operating efficiently.
The successful candidate, reporting to the IT Manager, will provide first-level IT support across office and plant environments while assisting with business systems, infrastructure, and ongoing IT improvement projects. As part of our small internal IT team, supported by external contractors, the role provides exposure to a broad range of technologies and projects. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and supporting technology in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive IT support and help desk assistance across office and plant environments, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, production system, and plant IT equipment issues to minimise operational downtime.
- Coordinate and support system upgrades, software updates, patches, and infrastructure improvements to maintain secure and business-aligned IT systems.
- Support IT infrastructure and operational continuity through asset management, equipment maintenance, backups, disaster recovery documentation, and risk management activities.
- Assist with the delivery of IT projects, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
- Provide support across the wider IT function, including joint venture sites and ad hoc operational requirements as needed.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders through customer-focused service and effective collaboration across the business.
Key Requirements:
We’re seeking a candidate with a background in IT or hands-on experience in a technical support environment, along with solid knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and general IT troubleshooting.
The successful person will be practical, organised, and solutions-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to support users across both office and operational environments. You’ll enjoy problem-solving, taking initiative, and working in a fast-paced environment where technology plays a critical role in daily operations.
Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, networking fundamentals, plant or industrial IT systems, or SQL basics would be advantageous, although not essential.
